Ford Introduces 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition

Following the release of the retro-inspired Free Wheeling Package, Ford has introduced yet another special edition Bronco, which pays homage to its heritage. This time, it’s the 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition, a model inspired by the Baja Broncos of the 1960s and 1970s, built by Bill Stroppe. Like the Free Wheeling Package, this edition is more about visual upgrades, but the Stroppe Special Edition is only available in a very specific configuration.

For the 2025 lineup, the Stroppe Special Edition takes the place of the Bronco Wildtrak, which means it comes equipped with the Sasquatch package as standard. This package is geared towards off-road performance, featuring the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) with internal bypass dampers, as well as high-clearance suspension. The vehicle rides on 35-inch Goodyear Territory RT tires and black 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, enhancing its rugged appeal. Also included in this package is the stabilizer bar disconnect, which provides additional flexibility on challenging terrains. Under the hood, you’ll find Ford's 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which delivers 315 horsepower and 562 Nm of torque. The Stroppe Special Edition is exclusively available as a two-door model, adorned with a distinctive orange and white exterior complemented by a blue roof.

Aside from its mid-range powertrain, the Stroppe Special Edition boasts Ford’s advanced HOSS 3.0 system, which includes Fox internal bypass dampers for enhanced shock absorption and stability over rough surfaces. The stabilizer bar disconnect system allows the Bronco to navigate extreme off-road situations, while the massive tires improve traction, making this model particularly suited to intense off-road adventures.

This special edition is scheduled for release in January, and while Ford has not yet disclosed the exact pricing, it is expected to carry a premium price tag. For reference, the 2024 Bronco Wildtrak started at $60,225 before any additional fees, so it’s likely that the Stroppe Special Edition will be priced higher. Given its unique specifications and nod to off-road racing history, this edition is expected to attract both Bronco enthusiasts and off-road aficionados looking for a distinctive and capable SUV.

It’s a tribute to the original Baja Broncos that Bill Stroppe engineered, capturing the spirit of those legendary vehicles while adding advanced technology and enhanced performance features. Ford continues to embrace and celebrate the Bronco’s storied past, offering a lineup that not only honors its roots but also appeals to today’s off-road enthusiasts.
