FWD BMWs To Get Individual Colors

Author: |

BMW Individual Colors were previously exclusively available on high-end cars, but BMW is now increasing their availability to include even the most basic models, such as the 1 Series hatchback and the 2 Series Gran Coupe. The 1 Series hatchback and the 2 Series Gran Coupe are both built on the UKL2 chassis, and buyers may now choose from more than 160 colors for the two models.

San Marino Blue, Speed Yellow, Verde Ermes Green, and the Audi-like Nardo Gray are among the hues available. The Leipzig facility in Germany has begun manufacture of these entry-level vehicles in Individual colors, and the order books for the remainder of the year are already nearly full. BMW Japan has ordered 180 units of the 118d in Sepia Violet, Ruby Red, and Hockenheim Silver.

The lead time will be extended if you want your 1 Series hatch or 2 Series Gran Coupe in one of the 160 colors or totally custom paint. BMW said it will take an additional ten weeks to deliver the vehicle.

BMW considers matte paints to be the most complex since any flaws cannot be rectified using the same procedures used for glossy coatings. A new automobile painted in a matte hue requires an additional half-hour of preparation.
