IM LS7 Revealed in China While Getting Massive Attention

The IM LS7 was unveiled by IM Motors in China, with pre-orders opening on December 20 and prices ranging from 52,000 to 74,000 USD.

An electric vehicle joint venture between SAIC Motor, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, and Alibaba Group is called IM Motors. After the IS L7, the IM LS7 is the second model from IM Motors, and it received over 3000 pre-orders within the first hour of going on sale in China.

The car's design is in line with earlier IM Motor vehicles' design language. Typically, the front of the vehicle adopts an "L" shape with the headlights on both sides. The headlights have all-LED lighting. Three proper vents and LED daytime running lights are also included on the LS7. On the back of the car, it has a sizable integrated spoiler. The LS7's interior features a half-width steering wheel for the first time in a mass-produced vehicle in China. The automaker also offers a full-width steering wheel as an option.

The LS7's dual-motor four-wheel drive version produces 650 hp and 725 Nm of maximum torque. With a CLTC cruising range of 615 km, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.

It will be offered in 90kWh and 100kWh battery capacities. The 100kWh+ model with a single motor and RWD has a 660 km CLTC cruising range.

Within an hour of opening reservations in China, the IM LS7 secured over 3000 pre-orders.
