Lexus GX Gets a 2025 Update: What's New?

Author: |

Lexus has announced some updates to its 2024 GX luxury SUV for the 2025 model year. This rugged off-roader will now come standard with a convenient memory settings system and a power-adjustable steering wheel. The memory system allows drivers to save their preferred seat, mirror, and steering wheel positions, enhancing comfort and convenience.

However, these added features come at a cost. The 2025 GX will start at $65,285, representing a $1,035 price increase compared to the 2024 model.

For those seeking even more off-road capability, the Overtrail and Overtrail+ trims now come standard with a 1.0-inch suspension lift, boosting ground clearance to a generous 9.8 inches. This upgrade, combined with other off-road-focused enhancements, makes these trims even more capable on rugged terrain. However, this added capability also comes with a price premium. The Overtrail+ trim is now $3,680 more expensive, while the standard Overtrail is $3,145 pricier.

The GX Luxury and GX Luxury+ trims also see a slight price increase of $500 for the 2025 model year.

Powering every GX remains the potent twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine, delivering 349 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. While there were initial plans to introduce Toyota's 326-horsepower I-Force Max turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four hybrid powertrain, it seems that this option will not be available for the 2025 model year.

Lexus anticipates that the updated 2025 GX will begin arriving at dealerships in early 2025.
