Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Revealed With 2 Litre Engine

Maserati unveiled a new hybrid version of Ghibli. The Ghibli Hybrid features an updated look alongside the technical refinements. Under the hood there is a 2.0-liter petrol engine with 48-volt mild hybrid system. Total output is 330 hp and 450 nm of torque. Maserati Ghibli Hybrid uses an electric supercharger technology called e-Booster. This system gives the Ghibli Hybrid a balanced performance and efficiency.

Performance

Maserati stated that the Ghibli Hybrid can sprint from 0 to 100 kph in 5.7 seconds and its top speed is 255 kph. Maserati located battery in the rear section of the car in order to reach a better weight distribution and it is interesting to know that the hybrid Ghibli is still 80 kg lighter than the diesel variant.

The fuel economy is said to be between 8.5 to 9.6 liters/100 km, not an ideal record for a hybrid car but good number for a Maserati.

Maserati also refreshed Ghibli's look with the use of some blue accents here and there. The brake calipers are also colored in blue and there are blue side vents on the front fenders. Maserati also refreshed the grille and taillights with more modern and sporty designs.

Moving inside the cabin and there are and the biggest change is the new 10.1-inch screen on the dashboard. The new infotainment system features new menus and graphics.
