With the release of two new special editions of the Delica D:5 and Delica Mini models, Mitsubishi is preparing for the harsh Japanese winter. The Chamonix trim adds some extra functionality and an adventurous style for those who plan to use the Delica minivans off-road. It is inspired by the Snow Survivor concepts that made their debut at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon.
Aluminum pedals, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a multi-around monitor are standard on the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 for 2024. The new flagship trims, the Chamonix and Chamonix Complete, expand upon the high-spec P grade with exterior and interior changes.
The black mica accents on the grille, headlights, mirrors, and door handles, along with the titanium grey metallic finish on the skid plates and black 18-inch aluminum wheels, set the Delica D:5 Chamonix apart. Additionally, a camouflage-patterned Chamonix emblem is located on the front fenders. More of this is added by the Chamonix Complete Package, which covers the lower portion of the profile with larger decals.
Updates to the interior include new seat upholstery made of a blend of synthetic leather and water-repellent suede-like material. Silver stitching, which also appears on the dashboard, door cards, and wood-grain burl-heather inserts, adorns those.
Next, let's talk about the Mitsubishi Delica Mini, which made its debut earlier this year and is enhanced by two Chamonix packages. The base model adds the distinctive green hue to the alloy wheel inserts, emblems, side decals with a camouflage pattern, and interior all-weather mats. The Chamonix Complete Package then adds mud flaps, a roof rack attachment, and a black garnish to the grille.
On February 8, Japanese dealers will start selling the Chamonix models. The starting price of the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 Chamonix is $30,467, and an additional $1,741 is required for the Chamonix Complete package. For owners of the Mitsubishi Delica Mini, the Chamonix dealer option costs $1,198, with the Chamonix Complete requiring an additional $950.
