Nissan has recently introduced a refreshed version of the Magnite in India, accompanied by exciting news of its expanded availability in international markets. The updated Magnite will now be offered in both right-hand drive and left-hand drive configurations, allowing it to enter 47 new markets worldwide. This significant expansion will increase the total number of markets where the Magnite is sold to over 65.

Production of the Magnite will continue at the Chennai plant in India, where Nissan has successfully manufactured over 150,000 units of this popular small SUV since its launch in 2020. The mid-lifecycle update brings subtle changes to the Magnite's exterior design. While the overall silhouette remains familiar, specific areas of the bodywork have been refined. The most noticeable alteration is the larger and wider grille, complemented by a more prominent skid plate.

Nissan highlights the "lightsaber-style" indicators on the LED headlights and the honeycomb graphics on the smoked LED taillights as distinctive features. However, only the latter is a new addition. The functional roof rails and generous ground clearance of 8.1 inches contribute to the Magnite's SUV-like stance, despite its relatively compact footprint of 157.5 inches.

Inside the cabin, the most significant change is the availability of Brownish Orange leather-style upholstery for the dashboard, doors, and seats, enhancing the perceived quality. Other features carried over from the previous model include the 7-inch digital instrument cluster and the 8-inch infotainment display with support for Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Depending on the trim level, the Magnite can be equipped with an Arkamys sound system, a dashcam, multi-color ambient lighting, and an air ionizer. While the SUV comes standard with 6 airbags, it doesn't offer any advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The Nissan Magnite is underpinned by the CMF-A+ architecture, which is also used by the Renault Triber and Kiger. The powertrain options remain unchanged, consisting of naturally-aspirated and turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines. The naturally-aspirated engine produces 71 horsepower, while the turbocharged variant delivers 99 horsepower.

Both engines are paired with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard. The base engine can also be equipped with an EZ-Shift automatic transmission, while the turbocharged version offers the option of an X-Tronic CVT. All variants of the Nissan Magnite are front-wheel-drive.

The facelifted Nissan Magnite is priced competitively in India, ranging from $7,130 to $13,685. This pricing is identical to its predecessor, making it an attractive option for buyers in the Indian market.
