Spillmann company, has had important part in the local bus market since the first day, as it always distributes buses with different and emotional designs. The small fleet of six Citaro vehicles was formed back in 2012 and now it has been expanded into an army of 26 themed vehicles. The fleet can be a start and the concept of future local transportation. Local public transportation can enter a new era thanks to these buses.
Rüdiger Kappel, head of fleet sales at Daimler Buses Germany and Herrmann Fröhlich, head of the South-West Sales Region at Daimler Buses, delivered eight more themed buses to Bülent Menekse, managing director of Omnibusverkehr Spillmann GmbH, on 4 December.
Bülent Menekse and his co-workers, have tries to design special and different themed vehicles based on Mercedes Benz Citaro buses. The new buses added to the fleet are called American School Bus, Ocean Floor, A History of Daimler Buses, Germany, A History of Spillmann, Countries and CulturesMovie and Rainforest.
Inside the bus, there is whole new world, different from what we see outside. The colors and emotional designs inside these themed Citaro buses are very eye-catching. For example, on some buses the passengers find themselves standing on an ocean floor or in the lawn. The printed pictures and diverse interior designs are not the only interesting features. Passengers are able to use Wi-Fi or USB sockets inside.
Spillmann prefers to use optional available tram designs for the exterior. It is pretty futuristic and reminds you of a modern rail vehicle. The American School Bus Citaros have yellow-black colors.
All the Spillmann’s hybrid Citaros come with the compact hybrid module. The diesel engines are accompanied by an efficient 14 kW electric motor. The electric power system produces energy during braking.
