SVI Engineering, a South African armored vehicle expert, has unveiled the SVI Max 3 Troopy which is a bulletproof vehicle based on a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series.
The South African armored vehicle expert, has released a sequel to last year's Max 3 armored personnel carrier. SVI's latest product is a multi-purpose vehicle that can carry up to eight passengers, as opposed to the previous iteration, which was essentially a truck.
SVI has created a civilian version of the armored vehicle that does not have attachment places for rifles or heavy artillery and may be utilized in a variety of sectors such as anti-riot, security, and convoy services.
The Max 3 Troopy is powered by a 4.5-liter turbodiesel V8 engine that can produce 202 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. It can reach a max speed of 140 km/h.
A greater load rating, updated springs, and the installation of a rear anti-roll bar are among the other enhancements.
The armored body plates of the Max 3 Troopy are built of steel and are rated to give EN1063 BR6 minimum protection. This implies it can survive assault rifle strikes. SVI also provides enhanced protection that is resistant to explosions and personnel mines.
Pricing for the SVI Max 3 Troopy opens at 1.8 million South African rand, or approximately $128,000 at current currency rates.
