Since day one, the new BMW 4 Series has faced a great deal of criticism and has dealt with different challenges. Its design is not what many fans are looking for, so they treat it with hatred. Now the company has added a new and questionable diesel engine and again some people are NOT happy.

The New BMW 4 Series

BMW’s performance division is in charge for the changes the new M has gone through. These new features include an M sports package and an M sports differential. Since the European buyers are used to burning fossil stuff, they are not surprised.

So Much Torque

The new vehicle is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine that produces 340hp and 700 Nm of torque. The M440d xDrive’s AWD system sends the power to all four wheels.

According to the company itself, the model hits 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds only. We must admit that the new M is pretty strong. It is really thirsty as well, since it drinks 5.7 and 6.3 liters per 100 km.

Do not worry. Soon enough, the company will send a less powerful but more efficient model to complete its lineup and make the green-car-lovers happier.

The efficient model is equipped with another version of the same powertrain and makes 286 hp. It takes the 430d xDrive Coupe 5.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h. We should note that the both variants come with a mild-hybrid system accompanied by a 48-volt starter-generator.
