2022 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban To Be Offered With V8

For the 2022 model year, Chevrolet is upgrading its Tahoe and Suburban vehicles. Let's start with the good news for all huge V8 fans out there: the 2022 Tahoe and Suburban are getting improvements on both sides of the spectrum - analog and digital.

For the 2022 model year, the RST, Z71, and Premier trims will be offered with a 6.2L V8 engine rated at 420 horsepower.

Magnetic Ride Control —Premier and High Country, and available on Z71 – will be available to customers who choose the 6.2-liter V8 for the Tahoe and Suburban RST.

2022 Chevy Tahoe

On the LS, LT, Z71, RST, and Premier versions, the 5.3-liter V8 remains standard, while the optional Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel is offered on all models. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard on all Tahoe and Suburban models.

In 2022, an electronic limited-slip differential will be available with the off-road-focused Z71, which may be used in 4WD Low for improved off-roading.

For the 2022 model year, the new Chevy Tahoe and Suburban will also have access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play on the car display, which will operate in conjunction with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which is a significant improvement for SUV drivers.

Other features for the 2022 models include a configurable digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch diagonal for LT trims and higher, 13 possible unique camera views, and new trailering views like a rear trailer view, a picture-in-picture side view, and a view within a trailer.
