Chevrolet Seeker Revealed In China

The brand-new Seeker, a small SUV that will be made in China by SAIC-GM, has been unveiled by Chevrolet. Images of a new Chevrolet crossover for the Chinese market were revealed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in April of this year. The SUV employs contemporary styling characteristics comparable to previous Chevrolet models, combined with a leaner shape, and the official debut matches what we saw.

Similar to the larger ICE-powered Blazer and the smaller Trailblazer, the Seeker receives split headlamp styling, but the grille has a distinctive X-shaped chrome accent. Highlights at the back include the steeply sloping rear windscreen and cube-shaped LED taillights with integrated fake vents that extend to the toned-up rear shoulders.

A black roof, five-spoke 18-inch wheels, and RS logos on the nose and tailgate are all part of the model's RS specification. For the Chinese market, Chevrolet stated it will offer the Seeker in two distinct RS configurations.

With a 2,700 mm wheelbase, the Seeker has dimensions of 4,537 mm in length, 1,823 mm in width, and 1,564 mm in height.

The Seeker's interior showcases a technologically advanced cabin with two 10.25-inch displays arranged in a dual-screen arrangement. For better ergonomics and visibility, the one in the center of the dashboard is angled nine degrees in the driver's direction. The infotainment system is powered by China-only Xiaoxue, a brand-new operating system. The Seeker also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and over-the-air software updates as standard features.

The lumbar support on the power-adjustable, heated, and vented front seats can be adjusted. A wireless phone charging pad and a power liftgate are two more features that complement the extensive standard equipment.

A 1.5-liter, four-cylinder Ecotec turbocharged petrol engine is located under the hood. Chevrolet hid the specifications, but based on prior leaks, we predict it will have 177 horsepower. We don't know if the engine will be available with FWD or AWD, but it is only coupled to a CVT gearbox. With this engine, the Seeker is capable of traveling at a top speed of 205 kph.

Soon, Chinese customers will be able to order the Chevrolet Seeker. In the next weeks, prices should be revealed. The Seeker may be sold in Korea and other regions in addition to North America, which is rumored to get the SUV soon.
