The Cat EV from Great Wall's ORA brand will be available in the UK this fall. The Funky Cat will be available in a limited-edition First Edition trim for £30,495.
LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a two-tone paint scheme are all available on the Funky Cat First Edition. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are among the other highlights.
There are power front seats with leatherette upholstery in the cabin. A wireless smartphone charger, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a passive entry system are all included.
A 48 kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides power to a front-mounted electric motor. The electric motor produces 169 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 159 kilometers per hour.
The WLTP range of the Funky Cat is 311 kilometers. When the battery is low, a 6.6 kW charger can charge it from 15 to 80 percent in about five to six hours, while an 11 kW charger can do it in three or four hours, and an 80 kW DC fast charger can do it in around 40 minutes.
Great Wall Motor will begin accepting £100 deposits next month, and their ORA Online sales portal is set to launch in August, according to the company. Despite enabling internet sales, ORA stated that "physical businesses will receive a lot of attention." Additional trims, presumably more affordable, will be available in 2023, according to the company.
