Jetour has unveiled its latest model, the new Jetour Traveller. This refreshed SUV boasts a bold new exterior design and continues to be powered by a potent 2.0T engine.
The new Traveller maintains its imposing dimensions, measuring 4785mm in length, 2022mm in width, and 1910mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2800mm. Its curb weight is 1924kg. The front fascia has undergone a significant makeover, featuring a redesigned bumper and a striking, irregularly shaped grille adorned with chrome accents. The independent rectangular headlights have been darkened for a more aggressive look, while the "JETOUR" branding has been relocated above the grille and finished in black.
The side profile retains the iconic boxy silhouette, complemented by new 19-inch alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, side steps, and a roof rack. The A, B, and C pillars have been blacked out to enhance the vehicle's sporty appeal. The approach angle is 26° and the departure angle is 28°, suggesting decent off-road capabilities.
Under the hood, the new Jetour Traveller continues to be powered by a 2.0T engine, codenamed SQRF4J20. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 251 horsepower and a peak torque of 390 Nm, matching the specifications of the current 2.0T model. The transmission is expected to be a 7-speed DCT, although official details are yet to be confirmed.
In September 2024, the Jetour Traveller achieved impressive sales figures, with 15,523 units sold, representing a year-on-year increase of 189.4%. However, sales dipped slightly month-on-month by 6.2%. From January to September 2024, the cumulative sales of the Jetour Traveller reached 121,349 units.
The current Jetour Traveller is available with both 1.5T and 2.0T engine options, priced between $19,100 and $25,200. The introduction of the new model is expected to further bolster Jetour's position in the SUV market.
