The Lexus CT 200h has been out of production in the United States since 2017 and in Europe till late 2020. However, the tiny hatchback is still available in Japan, and Lexus has declared that manufacture would finish in October 2022. The company has recently unveiled a new "Cherished Touring" special version.

The special edition is only available in Japan, and it includes minor cosmetic changes as well as additional features. The silver highlights and the Sonic Titanium roof help to identify it visually.

Inside, black upholstery contrasts with crimson spots on the seats and door cards. There's also a Crimson-stitched instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and knee padding.

Electric and heated mirrors, automatic wipers, a heated steering wheel, and heated seats are all standard features. A normally aspirated 1.8-liter gasoline engine generates 134 horsepower and 207 Nm of torque when combined with an electric motor under the hood. The power is sent to the front axle through a CVT transmission.

The Lexus CT has sold roughly 380,000 units in 65 countries over its lifetime. The CT will be phased out of production in October 2022, making way for the next compact crossover that was previewed a few months ago and is expected to use a hybrid powertrain.

In Japan, the Lexus CT 200h Cherished Touring is priced at $36,508.
