The latest "50 Jahre M Edition" model from BMW is based on the flagship M8 Competition Coupe. The M8 Competition special edition is distinguished by a number of exterior features and even more standard equipment. The black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels contrast nicely with the red brake calipers. Finally, the anniversary-themed emblems with blue, violet and red highlights round off the design. The color pallet includes distinctive BMW Individual colors such as Daytona Beach Blue, Dravit Grey, and Tanzanite Blue, among others. These are in addition to the basic M Carbon exterior package. As standard, the M Carbon package includes an intake garnish, splitter, mirror caps, side gills, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser.
Inside, we find high-quality Merino leather upholstery in a variety of available colors, carbon fiber accents, an Alcantara headliner, and a long list of comfort and tech features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a color head-up display, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
M Carbon bucket seats and the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system are optional extras.
Unfortunately, no mechanical changes are included in the special edition. The engine is a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that delivers 616 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, just like the standard M8 Competition.
An eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and the rear-biased M xDrive system send power to all four wheels. BMW claims that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The M Carbon Ceramic Brakes are still available as an option.
The M8 Competition Coupe 50 Jahre M Edition is already available for purchase at Rs 2.55 crore (about $313,545). As a result, it is the most costly BMW available in India.
