After a nine-year break, the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series is returning to Japan, and Modelista is offering a range of optional accessories for personalization. Modelista has used parts from the Japanese off-road vehicle tuner Jaos, which is well-known, to apply exterior modifications to the Land Cruiser 70 Series. These improvements include adding more protective panels and installing vertical LED bars on the front bumper. Additionally, buyers can add aluminum skid plates to either end, and for extra character, the fog lights are tinted yellow.
The Land Cruiser can carry more cargo thanks to the Jaos roof rack and luggage tray. To help keep the interior clean during outdoor activities that might require moving dirty equipment, a rubber boot cover is included.
The car has been fitted with new 18-inch aluminum wheels that have a bronze finish and a more elaborate design. The all-terrain Yokohama Geolandar tires that come with these wheels perfectly complement the 70 Series' rugged nature, which has been in continuous production since 1984.
Modelista uses wood grain inserts to give the Land Cruiser's interior a hint of retro design. The tuner also provides license plate bolts, tinted windows, and its standard LED interior light upgrade.
Owners of Land Cruiser 70s can also select from the catalog of Toyota Genuine Accessories. The example in the picture has several highlights, such as window visors, a spare wheel cover with the Land Cruiser silhouette, and vintage red and yellow decals.
The $3,000. worth of new wheels is the most costly modification. The $1,300 skid plates and bumper, as well as the $1,500 roof rack, are additional costly parts. However, the wood grain inserts cost $450 and the decals $440. Remember that the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 70's base price in Japan is ¥4,800,000, or roughly $32,500.
