Early in 2019, the 2023 Toyota Crown will be available for purchase at U.S. dealerships, with prices starting at $39,950. The base Crown XLE has 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels and LED lighting components as part of its kit.

Eight-way power, heated front seats with fabric, and SofTex upholstery are included inside the cabin. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connect them. To keep the cabin silent, it also has an acoustic windshield and front glass.

A dual-zone automated temperature control system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a six-speaker music system, a wireless smartphone charger, and split-folding rear seats are a few further highlights.

The starting salary for Crown Limited is $45,550. Lightly updated exterior features include a fixed panoramic glass roof, nicer LED headlights, and rain-sensing wipers.

The heated and ventilated leather front seats, heated back seats, and heated leather steering wheel make the Limited's interior more opulent. Another feature of the high trim is an 11-speaker JBL premium audio system.

The fourth-generation Toyota Hybrid System, which is comprised of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a compact nickel-metal hydride battery pack, powers both the XLE and Limited. With a total output of 236 horsepower, the powertrain enables a 0-96 km/h time of 7.6 seconds.

The models are expected to yield 5.6 l/100km in the city, 5.7 l/100km on the highway, and 5.7 l/100km combined.

There is a new 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged Hybrid Max powerplant. This configuration results in a combined output of 340 horsepower and a 0-96 km/h time of 5.7 seconds for the Crown Platinum.

The vehicle also has adaptive variable suspension and a six-speed direct shift automatic transmission with a hydraulic multi-plate wet start clutch.

All-wheel drive is standard on the Crown. The Electronic On-Demand AWD system has a rear-mounted electric motor that engages when greater traction is required. Customers seeking ultimate performance and luxury can choose the $52,350 Crown Platinum, which includes larger 21-inch wheels and an optional two-tone paint job.

All Crowns come included with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of driver assistance systems, independent of trim level. It has Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, and a Pedestrian Detection System. Automatic High Beams and Proactive Driving Assist are also available to buyers.

The Limited adds Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking to that long list, while the Platinum goes even farther with a Panoramic View Monitor and an Advanced Park System.
