The official global premiere of the PV5 is scheduled for February 27th, generating significant anticipation within the automotive industry.
Kia will offer both passenger and cargo variants of the PV5, each designed to cater to distinct customer needs while maintaining a consistent design ethos. The PV5's front fascia is characterized by a bold and futuristic aesthetic, featuring sharp LED daytime running lights that cascade down from the base of the windshield. In place of a traditional grille, a centrally positioned charging flap dominates the front, flanked by the main headlamps on either side. This design choice emphasizes the PV5's electric nature and contributes to its distinctive visual identity.
Mirroring the design philosophy of the Hyundai Staria, the PV5 boasts expansive windows, which are expected to create a bright and spacious cabin environment for both passenger and cargo versions. Practicality is also addressed with the addition of chunky door handles, a feature absent in the original concept. The cargo variant, designed for utility, forgoes rear side windows and incorporates twin side-opening tailgate doors, facilitating effortless loading and unloading of cargo. Kia has announced that the PV5 will be offered in a range of configurations, with plans to introduce additional versions beyond the initially presented passenger and cargo models.
