The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 wagon has received updates for the new model year, including a more accessible entry-level price for this luxury SUV. Mercedes-Benz has introduced the GLC300 Avantgarde, priced at $99,900 drive-away, making it more affordable compared to the GLC300 AMG Line wagon, which remains at $103,370 before on-road costs. However, this special pricing for the Avantgarde is only available until December 31, 2024, and is limited to a finite number of units.
The GLC300 Avantgarde features subtle design changes and added equipment to set it apart. Updates include aluminum roof rails, aluminum-look running boards, and stylish new 20-inch alloy wheels. While the vehicle is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system producing 190kW and 400Nm, it offers a more comfort-oriented setup compared to the AMG Line variant. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Unlike the AMG Line, which is equipped with sporty suspension, the Avantgarde model focuses on urban driving comfort with Mercedes' 'Agility Control' suspension and selective damping. Additional chrome trim elements and slight modifications to the grille and underguards give it a distinct, more refined appearance tailored for city use.
Inside, the Avantgarde enhances luxury with Artico leather-look upholstery, available in a variety of two-tone options including black, brown and black, or beige and black. The interior is accented by high-gloss black and anthracite line-structure lime wood trim. Technology is a standout, with an 11.9-inch MBUX infotainment touchscreen offering digital radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. Other tech highlights include a 360-degree camera, a fingerprint scanner for personalized driver settings, wireless smartphone charging, dual-zone climate control, and a transparent bonnet feature that uses cameras to give drivers a view under the vehicle.
Additional convenience features include a panoramic glass sunroof, hands-free powered tailgate, heated front seats with memory, keyless entry and start, and a head-up display. LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, auto-folding side mirrors, and pre-installed towing wiring are also standard. Safety is a priority, with nine airbags, radar cruise control, blind-spot assist, traffic sign recognition, and a tire-pressure monitoring system.
The GLC300 Avantgarde comes in an array of colors, including Polar White, Verde Silver, Graphite Grey, High-Tech Silver, Obsidian Black, and Spectral Blue, allowing buyers to choose a look that suits their style. With its blend of luxury, technology, and a more approachable price, the GLC300 Avantgarde offers a compelling option in Mercedes-Benz's updated SUV lineup.
