Peugeot, leveraging its recent E-Lion Day, has subtly unveiled its strategic roadmap for expanding its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio, with significant developments slated for 2025. This expansion will be notably characterized by the introduction of high-performance iterations of the E-3008 and E-5008 models, signaling the French automaker's commitment to delivering dynamic and engaging electric driving experiences.
The performance-oriented variants of the E-3008 and E-5008, anticipated to debut in the near future, will feature a sophisticated dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. This powertrain configuration will deliver a combined output of 321 horsepower, significantly enhancing the vehicles' performance capabilities. The system builds upon the existing front-mounted electric motor, which generates 210 horsepower, by integrating a newly developed rear-mounted motor producing 110 horsepower. This dual-motor setup not only provides enhanced traction and stability but also contributes to a more exhilarating driving experience.
In addition to the performance enhancements, Peugeot is also focusing on expanding the versatility of its EV lineup. Specifically, the company plans to introduce a new five-seat variant of the E-5008 in the first half of 2025. This configuration will prioritize cargo capacity, offering an impressive 994 liters of storage space behind the second row of seats. This represents a substantial increase of 78 liters compared to the seven-seat variant, catering to customers who prioritize cargo space over passenger capacity. Furthermore, when the rear seats are folded down, the luggage capacity of the five-seat E-5008 expands to a remarkable 2,310 liters, making it a highly practical choice for those requiring ample cargo space.

This comprehensive program provides customers with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty for their electric vehicles, ensuring long-term peace of mind. Additionally, the program includes a wall box charger for convenient home charging and a Free2Move Charge pass, which grants access to a vast network of nearly one million charging points across Europe.
